New Season Treatment Center Issues 2024 Annual Report

A Year of Growth, Innovation, and Impact
The 2024 Annual Report highlights New Season Treatment Center’s continued efforts to expand access to opioid addiction treatment, improve patient engagement, and introduce innovative solutions to enhance recovery outcomes. With a strong focus on clinical advancements, operational improvements, and legislative progress, this year marks a pivotal time in our mission to combat opioid addiction nationwide.
Expanding Access to Care
This year saw record-breaking patient engagement and retention rates, with about 32,500 patients receiving services at 87 centers across 20 states. In addition to these milestones, New Season expanded its reach by launching its first mobile medication unit, allowing additional patients to receive care in underserved areas. Other key expansions included:
- A new treatment center in Osceola County, FL, addressing the growing demand for opioid addiction treatment.
- Three major relocations in Richmond, St. George, and Birmingham, increasing patient capacity and accessibility.
Legislative & Telehealth Advancements
Groundbreaking legislative changes in 2024 allowed New Season to implement tele-admissions and expand Telehealth services, improving accessibility for those unable to attend in-person appointments. The increase in take-home medication allowances has also led to a reduction in absenteeism and discharge rates.
Other key innovations include:
- Expansion of our Telehealth network, improving virtual counseling and medical services.
- New revenue cycle systems and enhanced insurance partnerships, reducing financial barriers to treatment.
- Plans to introduce three additional mobile medication units in 2025, reaching even more communities in need.
Specialized Programs for Better Outcomes
New Season expanded the Fentanyl Special Care Program across all 87 locations, specifically designed to support patients struggling with fentanyl addiction. Additionally, 27 new Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs) were launched to provide structured support for patients requiring a higher level of care. In 2025, we plan to roll out IOPs to 29 more centers and improve attendance rates to ensure program success.
Commitment to Patient-Centered Care
The report highlights ongoing initiatives aimed at improving patient retention and success rates, including:
- Enhanced counseling services, integrating one-on-one, group, and family therapy to foster long-term recovery.
- Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) options, including methadone, buprenorphine, and Suboxone, tailored to individual needs.
- Greater investment in community partnerships, ensuring patients have access to essential social and financial resources that support recovery.
Expanding Support & Resources
To further support patients in their recovery journey, New Season has strengthened partnerships with organizations providing essential wraparound services. These include:
- Peer support programs to foster continued engagement in recovery.
- Insurance navigation assistance, helping patients access the coverage they need.
- Employment and housing resources, ensuring long-term stability.
- Transportation assistance, eliminating logistical barriers to treatment access.
Grants and Settlements: Reducing Barriers to Care
Financial challenges often hinder individuals seeking addiction treatment. To address this, New Season Treatment Center has implemented a comprehensive Grant Program aimed at alleviating these financial burdens and ensuring uninterrupted access to care.
Key Aspects of the Grant Program:
- Opioid Settlement Funds: By actively pursuing grant opportunities and securing additional funding sources, such as opioid settlement funds, New Season assists patients in maintaining their recovery journey.
- Comprehensive Financial Support: Unlike traditional funding options, grants serve as a “payer of last resort,” assisting not only uninsured patients but also those who are under-insured. This includes covering gaps in insurance, such as co-insurance payments and high deductibles, which can otherwise hinder access to care.
- Enhanced Treatment Accessibility: By reducing financial burdens, the Grant Program fosters a safe, supportive environment, offering hope to those striving for a healthier future.
Through these initiatives, New Season Treatment Center remains committed to ensuring that financial limitations never stand in the way of someone’s recovery journey, making treatment accessible to all and helping to change lives for the better.
Looking Ahead to 2025
New Season’s focus for 2025 is on expanding treatment accessibility and enhancing patient engagement through:
- Opening more treatment centers in key regions with high demand for addiction recovery services.
- Increasing mobile unit outreach to ensure access in rural and underserved areas.
- Continuing to develop specialized care programs, including expanded fentanyl treatment strategies and increased IOP availability.
